Trip to Landor

I really enjoyed our trip to the Landor office in Blackfriars. They were so welcoming and chill. Kyla Gu greated us and gave us a little bit about her background. She graduated in 2022 from MAGBI! Here are my notes from the visit:

  • People invest in brands and it it our job to stay true to it.

  • Agencies move slower. Studios work faster– projects last a few months. Whereas in studios you need to have a lot of different skills

  • take in influences from all over popular culture.

I didn’t get to take as many notes during this studio visit because we had one on one conversations with employees. I LOVED that they did this. We got to have a feel for the personalities at the company and it wasn’t as daughnting asking questions.

I spoke to Senior Designer Kew M. He told us about Landor’s personal branding and how it was inspired by water. I loved Landor so much, I hope to work in an environment like that one day!
